LOG-001 · STUDIO · APR 2026

Eastbridge, named.

Why a third company. Why now. And why every company I've built points at the sky.

This is the third company I've started. That's not a boast — it's context. You should know what kind of person is behind the games before you decide whether to trust them.

The first was Prophetic Sky, back in 2009. We shipped one thing: Knights vs Aliens, a small real-time strategy game, to the iPad. It was weird and I loved it. It comes back this July — more on that soon.

Then I left games. For years I built software for farms — Skyward Apps, agtech, real customers, real problems, decidedly not games. I told myself I was done with all this. I was not done.

Eastbridge is the return. Founded April 2026 to build the strategy and tactics games I actually want to be known for, in the hours I can honestly give them. One person. Three planned titles under the Animus name. A long bet.

Here's the part I can't help noticing. Prophetic Sky. Skyward. Eastbridge. Three companies, three names, every one of them pointing up and east — toward the sunrise. I didn't plan that. I apparently can't name a company without looking at the horizon.

So the mark is a bridge under a rising sun. The bridge is real: a small footbridge I cross on a morning run, east-facing, that catches the light before the rest of the neighborhood wakes up. Connection across distance. The promise of a starting point. That's the whole studio in one line drawing.

That's why we start now. Not because the timing is perfect — it never is — but because the light is already coming up.
